An ideal candidate is a polished, experienced professional with keen attention to detail. Candidate must have exceptional data entry & communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, vendors, and management personnel. Must type a minimum of 40wpm. Computer/internet proficiency is critical to performance. Fast paced environment, casual dress code.

Overall purpose and objective of this position:
Conduct pre-employment background screening investigations and tenant screening of applicants for our clientele.

Major responsibilities of this position include:
Compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as pertains to the pre-employment/tenant screening and credit reporting industry
Maintaining security and privacy of highly sensitive and confidential information
Extensive data entry of work orders and completed investigative results via manual/electronic methods

Investigation and review of criminal, credit and personal background of applicants
Conduct reference verifications via verbal dialog and interviews
Professional Customer Service and communication with various entities
Quality control of work performed

Creative writing and detailed review of various reports
Filing and maintenance of confidential documents

Skills / Requirements
Minimum Experience Required:
1-year clerical experience within a professional setting
High School Diploma
Ability to comprehend directions and retain new information and procedures
Moderate knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat software
Extensive knowledge of how to navigate the Internet
Moderate knowledge of the use of office equipment such as a fax machine, copier, printer, and multi-line phone
6 months experience providing customer service
Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm with less than 2% errors

Experience Preferred but Not Required:
Previous experience in the pre-employment background screening industry
Experience in a human resource related function as pertaining to the application process, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and pre-screening of applicants
College attendance or degree
