POSITION SUMMARY
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Cola Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The Lubrication Technician is a key member of the Maintenance Team and is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Coordination of inventory and routine ordering of lubrication products. 
Use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions. 
Mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvements. 
Inspecting filters and breathers on reservoirs. 
Operating filtration equipment. 
Labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers. 
Printing and fulfilling planned lubrication activities. 
Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities. 
Schedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysis. 
Receive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance. 
Report in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systems. 
Responsible for wearing all assigned safety equipment and observing safety rules. 
Required to complete other activities assigned by supervisor. 
Responsible for continuous self improvement through the knowledge and use of all Company and Division provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other Company provided method. (Must successfully complete quarterly training curriculum, including but not limited to JJ Keller and facilitated training.) 
FOOD SAFETY: Required to follow the Good manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience:
1 plus years of experience in the lubrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment in an industrial setting.
Computer Skills:Must be computer literate; experience with CMMS systems a plus. 
 
Other Requirements:Climb stairs, ladders and over equipment Stand upright for extended periods of time Must be able to work in areas containing grease, lubricants and solvents. Must be able to work in confined areas. Understand MSDS documents and submit them for new products required. Lubrication Techs may be required to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays based on production needs.
