This role is both in the clinic providing care to patients (shots, tests, drawing blood) and operational assisting our Director of Operations. You need to be comfortable taking care of patients in clinic and training staff at our clinics and communicating with patients and doing care coordination and managing medical assistants from time to time.
DoctorWellington is a NEW way of doing healthcare and is launching exclusively in Alabama. You can be in on the ground floor of this start-up company, which will offer cash-pay subscription healthcare for Alabama residents. For just $49/month, patients can get primary care and urgent care from any partner clinic. DoctorWellington partners with providers (individual offices or networks of clinics) to provide that care for their members. That care can be delivered in-clinic, via chat (online), or via video visit (online).
You have a bachelor’s degree at a minimum
You have previous experience treating patients in a clinical setting
This is a startup and so things can we wild and unpredictable! We do whatever it takes to get it done. We think your typical work schedule will be: M-F 8am-4pm, but those hours and days may fluctuate if needs arise. You will be on call every other weekend to take phone calls from patients and clinic staff, reporting issues and troubleshooting as necessary.

If you’re not organized, this position isn’t for you.
If you enjoy having many irons in the fire at one time and thrive on managing/prioritizing them and your time effectively, you’ll do well!
You communicate well with others over the phone and never come off as rude. You can write a message to a patient or provider that has correct grammar and spelling.

You have the critical thinking skills that help you navigate things you have never done. You are not afraid to call an office and ask exactly what they need for a mammogram referral. You have no problem calling or messaging a patient to make sure they know what needs to be filled out before an appointment can be made. You take notes for yourself to know what to do next time or what has already been done.
