Job Description
Job Responsibilities of the Caster Operations Coordinator include the following:

-Work with Project Management Team for installation of new EAF facility.
-Administration of the U. S. Steel safety program to ensure a safe work environment and safe work practices.
-Administer the U.S. Steel environmental program to insure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
-Apply engineering principles and problems solving techniques to evaluate and resolve conditions to maximize operating efficiencies.
-Utilize management skills to supervise, direct, and coordinate the efforts of a team of managers and experienced technicians, craftsmen and project planners to repair and maintain equipment to keep the operations running at maximum efficiency with minimal interruption.
-Performs and oversees administrative activities such as scheduling and paying employees, completing production reports, conducting safety conversations, and compiling other reporting as required.
-Maintains an awareness of the condition of operating equipment.
-Troubleshoots equipment failures and arranges equipment repairs through assigned maintenance personnel.
-Communicates, directs and facilitates the overall operation of the Caster.
-Ensures accountability, engages employees, promotes teamwork and responsibility.
-Ensures consistent productivity and cost.

-Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or Technology, or equivalent work experience is required.
-Caster operation experience preferred.
-Minimum of 3 years experience as a supervisor working in a unionized, manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred.
